During the free consultation we can discuss your goals and you can learn what to expect from wellness coaching. If you choose to start coaching, we’ll have a more in-depth conversation and you’ll fill out a wellness history questionnaire. Your input is very a very important part of the process. Using your input, I’ll create a plan of action tailored to your goals. Here’s where my approach is different from many other coaches. I want to know more than your fitness goals. I want to learn we can create a better quality of life for you.
For example: Robert wants to lose 15 pounds. We know where Robert wants to go, but we also need to know where he is right now. We could certainly create a fitness routine or make dietary changes. But if we stop there we might miss an opportunity. What if he recently lost a loved one or is having a difficult time at work? These stressors need to be addressed. Why? Because they can make it difficult to adhere to changes in routine. Furthermore, stress can affect hormones making it difficult to lose weight. In this case, Robert would be better served if we also implemented some strategies to reduce stress. This would make life more pleasant and increase the likelihood that Robert will have success with his weight loss goal.
